Naked Produce – The Top Twelve With The Least Pesticides

Okay, we know washing produce removes a little of the pesticides, and peeling it removes more. And we know that organic produce is the best way to avoid ingesting pesticides. But what if you can’t find any? Or if it’s just too expensive to buy?

In that case, look for produce on the bottom of the “Pesticides in Produce” list put out by the Environmental Working Group. The following list is of the 12 fruits and vegetables with the LEAST amount of pesticide contamination, listed from onions with the very least amount of pesticides and on up.

Introducing NAKED PRODUCE (pesticide attire strictly frowned upon!) – – –

  1. Onions
  2. Avocado
  3. Sweet Corn-Frozen
  4. Pineapples
  5. Mango
  6. Sweet Peas-Frozen
  7. Asparagus
  8. Kiwi
  9. Bananas
  10. Cabbage
  11. Broccoli
  12. Eggplant

Even if you can’t find these organically grown, they’re pretty safe to eat!

So head on back to the produce section or the frozen food section or where ever you can find some of these goodies!
