While there is some produce that isn’t very contaminated with pesticides, there are other kinds that are pretty well drenched with the stuff.
This is the other end of the spectrum, and if these aren’t organically grown, you’d best avoid these fruits and vegetables. These are listed with the absolute worst contamination at the top, to those with slightly less… but still not good!

- Apples
- Sweet Bell Peppers
- Celery
- Nectarines
- Strawberries
- Cherries
- Lettuce
- Grapes – Imported
- Pears
- Spinach
- Potatoes
At least with the potatoes, you can peel a lot away and not worry so much about losing nutrients! But for the most part, it’s just best to avoid these fruits and vegetables unless they’re organically grown.
