With Good Health Food
We’re hearing more and more lately that inflammation in the body is the root cause of a whole lot of diseases. While it may not seem that important, consider this – We are now raising the first generation of people in America that can not expect to live longer than their parents.
That ought to make us stop and think. All these medical advances, and our kids aren’t going to live longer than we did? What’s wrong here?
The modern diet in America, that’s what’s wrong. Our diet largely consists of pro-inflammatory foods like sugar, refined flours, soda, and trans fats. And people are getting larger and sicker every year because of that.
We’re eating a whole lot of stuff that isn’t whole foods, but engineered substances that parade as food. They may taste good, but they do bad things to your body. Advertising tempts us to eat this stuff, but we don’t have to eat chemicals to have food that tastes good!
Why Do We Need To Fight Inflammation?
Eating pro-inflammatory foods puts our health at risk. For instance, chronic inflammation is the actual cause of heart disease, not cholesterol (see “The Great Cholesterol Lie” for more information). It’s associated with a whole lot of other diseases, too, such as:
- Crohn’s Disease
- Metabolic Syndrome
- Diabetes Type 2
- Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
Whether the root cause of a disease, or something that makes a disease worse, inflammation is bad news indeed!
Good Health Food To The Rescue!
One of the key ways to fight inflammation in your body is to eat good health food. Whole foods, as close to their original state as possible. Throw out the trans fats and eat healthy oils, like olive oil. Quit eating so much sugar.
Every change you make in your diet to move away from eating overly processed and chemical laden foods to eat natural foods is a step in the right direction.
